PARTICK THISTLE midfielder Andy Ross has vowed to force his way into the club's starting line-up.
The frustrated former Chelsea starlet has only managed one appearance off the bench - against Brechin in the Bell's Cup - in Thistle's opening three games.
Ross said: "It's just a case of being patient. There is a long season ahead and injuries and suspension will take their toll at some stage.
"What I need to do is to continue to give it everything in training, show the right attitude, and take my chance when it comes.
"Already we have been hit with a suspension when Andy Dowie missed out last week and Andy Wilkinson came in. There is no point getting frustrated."
The midfielder's pre-season run out against Fulham has left him desperate for another taste of top team action.
Ross said: "It was brilliant to play against some of the big names in the Fulham side. I was hoping I'd done enough to start when the real thing got underway.
"But I will continue to keep working away and take it one game at a time. The atmosphere in the two league games against Clyde and Airdrie has been superb and as a player you just want to get out there.
"However we got a good three points against Airdrie and winning teams don't tend to get changed.
"But hopefully my time will come."
