Clyde laid the foundations for the victory over arc rivals Partick Thistle by securing a two-goal advantage by the break.
Thistle enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges with ex-Clyde man Jamie Mitchell proving a thorn in the side of his former team mates.
Mitchell had no less than four half-chances, but despite decent efforts at conversion he failed to find the net.
Clyde were proving dangerous on the break and took the lead somewhat against the run of play. Darren Sheridan lifted the ball over the square Thistle back four and whilst the defenders stood appealing for offside Ian Harty banged the ball past Kenny Arthur.
Clyde doubled their lead on the stroke of half-time with the best football of the match. Aaron Wilford picked out Harty who slid a perfect pass between two defenders for Jimmy Gibson to finish off the move.
Clyde exuded confidence after the re-start and frustrated all Thistle's attempts to get back into the match. The visitors goal efforts were reduced to shots from distance although Bryn Halliwell had to make a super diving save from a wicked deflection at the expense of an unproductive corner.
Clyde rather foolishly indulged in a spot of showboating and were duly punished by Armand One. He intercepted John Potter's short pass back before rounding Halliwell to find the empty net.
Clyde then faced an anxious ten minutes before the final whistle during which Jimmy Gibson was sent off to joining Thistle's Andrew Dowie who had departed earlier in the half.
